Whether you want to believe him or not, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer texted ESPN’s Ed Werder to say he will be “definitely ready” to play next week in Denver.  The Cards are on the bye this week and will face the Denver Broncos on October 5th in week five.

Of course the talk the past couple of days has been from people who don’t think too highly of Palmer and want Stanton to start.  After taking the Cards to a 10-6 record in 2013 and 1-0 to start this season, people still aren’t satisfied and want Stanton to be the starter because of his two wins against the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers.

As I’ve said several times since the argument started Sunday evening, Palmer is the starter.  It is great news that he is feeling better.  His nerve in his shoulder must have started firing up for him.  Last week coach Bruce Arians said it could be a thing that takes one week or one month, no one knows.  Arians said on Monday he was hopeful that Palmer would be ready.

We will keep track of when and if he practices.  The Cards practice today at team headquarters in Tempe and then are off tomorrow through Sunday.  They will be back at work on Monday after the bye week.
