The Arizona Cardinals had happen to them something I’ve been fearing for two weeks.  What happens if quarterback Drew Stanton goes out?  Already replacing starter Carson Palmer, if Stanton goes out, that leaves only rookie Logan Thomas.  That’s where we stand going to the fourth quarter with the Denver Broncos leading 24-20.  Stanton is currently being evaluated for a concussion.

The Cards defense keeps giving up big plays and cornerback Antonio Cromartie is having a tough day.  He is being picked on by Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.  The defense did manage to hold the Broncos to a field goal after Stanton went out.

On Thomas’s first drive for the Cardinals did not go well.  He was sacked twice.  He looked lost, about what you’d expect for a rookie playing in his first regular season game.  His second drive went a little better.  He connected on an 81-yard pass to running back Andre Ellington down the side lines to make the current score 24-20 going to the fourth quarter.
