It was a blast from the past performance by Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald on Sunday

It was a huge day for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.  A big reason for the win was the performance of receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who had one of his biggest days as a professional.  It was good enough to win the NFC Offensive Player Of The Week.

Fitz had seven receptions for 160 yards and a 80-yard touchdown catch and run.  His splitting the defenders was a huge reminder of his Super Bowl catch and run for a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was targeted 10 times in the game again letting people know he is far from being done in the league.

The touchdown catch was the longest in his career.  This is the third time in his career that he has earned the award.  It is the first offensive player of the week award for the Cardinals this season, however they have had two players earn the special teams honor in Ted Ginn and Chandler Catanzaro.

If Fitz continues this production there is no telling how far this team can go.  With as many weapons as the Cards have on offense though, these awards will be tough to come by.  For the season Fitz now has 30 receptions for 443 yards and two touchdowns.
