The Arizona Cardinals (9-1) head north to play NFC West foe Seattle Seahawks (6-4) on Sunday

The Arizona Cardinals are not getting off that easy.  According to Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, expect running back Seahawks Marshawn Lynch to play on Sunday despite a bad back.  Bring him on I say.

Carroll, speaking on his weekly radio show in Seattle also mentioned in addition to Lynch, that linebacker Bobby Wagner and guard James Carpenter would be ready to play o Sunday despite being limited in practice this week.  Again, bring them on.

As for Lynch, he is coming off a 24 carries for 124 yards performance against the Kansas City Chiefs.  He had 21 carries for 140 yards and four touchdowns the week before at home against the New York Giants.   The week before that however, the Oakland Raiders held him to just 67 yards on the ground at home, so he can be stopped. For the season, Lynch has carried the ball 177 times for 813 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Cardinals run defense can do the job though giving up just 80.5 yards per game, third in the NFL.  The Seahawks rush for 174.2 yards a game, first in the NFL.  Something will give on Sunday.

It looks like the Cardinals will be without guard Ed Stinson this week once again, so that certainly doesn’t help.  Last week Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell got 85 yards on the Cardinals run defense but most of those yards were on three carries.  He ran the ball 18 times.

I’m sure the Cardinals have prepared for Lynch, so this is not any surprising news to say the least.  They know the challenge ahead.  As head coach Bruce Arians said the other day, the Cardinals haven’t accomplished anything yet but a 9-1 record.
