The Kansas City Chiefs got the ball and did a little better than that on their first drive.  Running back Jamaal Charles ran the ball 63-yards for a touchdown.  It was a beautiful adjustment run by Charles at the line but defensive tackle Dan Williams had a clean shot to tackle him and missed badly.

The Cardinals got the ball back and moved the ball a little before eventually stalling and having to punt the ball back to the Chiefs.  They were bailed out earlier in the drive thanks to a questionable roughing the passer on the Chiefs.

The Chiefs got the ball for their second drive but Charles was injured carrying the ball.  It appeared his ankle went backwards.  The Chiefs were called for holding and initially the play was ruled a fumble on the Charles injury.  The Chiefs got the ball back after review though and the holding call was enforced.

The Chiefs were unable to move the ball after the penalty though.  The holding call put the Chiefs in a spot and they could only gain three yards on the drive and punted back to the Cardinals.  The Cardinals got the ball back and are driving as we head to the second quarter.
