Yet another Arizona Cardinals player has made his way to season-ending Injured Reserve

Another Arizona Cardinals player was put on the Injured Reserve, or as I like to call it, Tuesday.  Defensive tackle Ed Stinson was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve on Tuesday.

More from Cardinals News

Stinson has battled a toe injury for the past month and a half.  He was active against the St. Louis Rams last Thursday night but did not record any stats. He had missed the previous four games.

So ends another Cardinals player season.  Stinson’s best game against the Dallas Cowboys in which he had a couple of crucial fourth quarter run stops.  One of the stops was on fourth-down that would have continued a Cowboys possible scoring drive.  So, again it is next man up.

To replace Stinson on the roster, the Cardinals signed receiver Brittan Golden to the active 53-man roster.  Golden made a couple of big plays for the Cardinals last season and was on the roster in the preseason.  The Cardinals also re-signed running back Zach Bauman to the practice squad on Tuesday.

With the defense being the focal point of the Cardinals right now it is interesting the Cardinals added another weapon on offense but maybe the Cardinals are trying to give quarterback Ryan Lindley as much help as he can get, especially with receiver Larry Fitzgerald still not 100 percent.

As for Stinson, he is the eighth Cardinals player to be put on season-ending Injured Reserve this season.  Linebacker Matt Shaughnessy was put on Injured Reserve-Designated For Return and he did in fact return two weeks ago against the Kansas City Chiefs.
