Player profile of T Rob Crisp as Arizona Cardinals training camp starts July 31st

As we prepare for Arizona Cardinals training camp reporting date of July 31st, it is time for our annual look at the roster player by player.  I look at what they’ve done, where they are now and how I project each player’s status at the end of camp.

We go from A to Z and continue with T Rob Crisp.  Crisp is an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina State.

More from Cardinals News

2014 season:  He started all 13 games for the Wolfpack at North Carolina State at left tackle.

2015 season projection: Here is a guy that was projected to go in the late rounds of the draft but was never selected.  General manager Steve Keim knew of him though because Keim also played at N.C. State.  Crisp was due to come out last year in 2014 but he injured his collarbone in 2013, causing him to miss 10 games, so he got a medical redshirt and finished off his college career in 2014.  He did well in the combine but the knock on him is he doesn’t have enough strength and lacks physicality.  I think he may surprise a few people though from what I hear.

He will fight for a backup spot behind Jared Veldheer.  The Cardinals are high on him even though he went undrafted.  Crisp will be fighting John Fullington for that backup spot.  I wouldn’t rule out a spot on the roster for Crisp but I do consider it to be an uphill battle.
