The Arizona Cardinals took Missouri’s Evan Boehm with their fourth round draft pick, 128th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft

So the Arizona Cardinals drafted for need in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.  This was a big need though, so the position selection was not a huge surprise.

The Cardinals selected center Evan Boehm from Missouri.  The center position was a need for the the team given the departure of Lyle Sendlein, leaving A.Q. Shipley as the only true center competition on the roster.

CBSSports.com souting reports on Boehm call him flat footed at times and looks like he is running in sand.  However he is known to be great with his arms.  He works well in the shotgun, which gives a good reason why the Cardinals would like a guy like Boehm.

His athleticism is something some may be worried about but his fit in Arizona may overshadow that.  Fans seem excited.

Boehm gets picked at his projection.  Rated fourth-best center in the draft by CBSSports.com.  He should immediately compete for the starting center position in Arizona.  Not many fourth round picks in other positions would have been able to say that if they had they come to the Cardinals.  This was one of the biggest need positions though.  Starter or no starter, Boehm will see the field plenty in 2016.
