The Arizona Cardinals are believed to have interest in drafting Alabama LB Reuben Foster

So much for that, I think? We don’t know what the Arizona Cardinals are planning for the first round but reports have been they are interested in Reuben Foster from Alabama, if he was still in the board at 13.

On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that Foster failed a drug test at the NFL Scouting Combine. Foster was sent home early from the combine due to an altercation at the hospital there.  Now we may now what that was about.

Now you have to wonder what it will do to his overall stock in the draft.  It most definitely will drop him but maybe not out of the first round completely.  Some teams are willing to overlook certain things.

The Cardinals however, with a number of players they reportedly like, I can’t see them pursuing Foster now.  It is unfortunate.  He would have looked nice in a Cardinals uniform.

He likely wouldn’t have even made it to the Cardinals.  He potentially could have ended up in the top 10.  There are no guarantees that he won’t still be taken high but if history serves, teams are likely to punish Foster (even if it means hurting themselves too) and let him slide.

Whoever takes him will face a lot of questions and will have to be ready for that.  There are second chances in this world and Foster will still be an NFL player.  He may have just cost himself millions though.

Foster now has two strikes on his resume before he even makes draft night.  With this being so close to the draft, it is unlikely he can do much more to show teams they can depend on him.
