Welcome to the win column Arizona Cardinals.  I don’t care how it happened, but it happened.  The last time we got to feel like this, it was still well over 100 degrees outside.  The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Detroit Lions on Sunday 38-10 in a game dominated by the defense.  The defense intercepted Lions quarterback  Matthew Stafford three times, twice for touchdowns, including a fourth-quarter 102 yard return by Greg Toler, to lead the Cardinals to their first victory since September 30th.

The Arizona Cardinals avoided any big mistakes in the third quarter and keep a 24-10 lead over the Detroit Lions heading into the fourth quarter.  Both teams traded field goals in the third quarter.  It did appear as if the Lions would find the end zone on their field goal scoring drive, but the defense stiffened up at the 24 and held them to the field goal by Jason Hanson.

This game is all about the opportunities you create.  The Arizona created two deep offensive opportunities thanks to a muffed punt, Patrick Peterson interception returned to the two yard line, and Rashad Johnson returned a 53 yard interception for a touchdown to give the Arizona Cardinals a 21-7 lead at halftime over the Detroit Lions.  The Cardinals did not turn the ball over in the second quarter.
