Thursday Night Football

Well, for one thing, it means that there will be a greater chance for out-of-town Cardinals fans like myself to see an extra nationally televised game on Thursday night.  That’s a good thing!

It will also make the schedule much more imbalanced, as there will be many more games where teams will have an extra three days of rest versus their opponents.  If the Cardinals and their opponent are scheduled for a Sunday game, and one of the teams played on Thursday night in the prior game, this could give the Cardinals a distinct advantage or disadvantage depending on the team they are playing.

It will be much more challenging for the scheduling folks to keep things balanced.
