Hot: Patrick Peterson

For a guy who is considered by some to be in the realm of best player at his position, Patrick Peterson had an underwhelming start to 2013. He had zero interceptions, was outdone by Calvin Johnson, and has been beaten badly by opposing quarterbacks.

Then he went to Tampa Bay.

Peterson allowed Vincent Jackson, the primary receiver for the Bucs, only two receptions for 27 yards. That is a good day on its own, but Peterson is pretty much the whole reason the Bucs are now 0-4.  His first interception put the Cardinals in a position to score the game tying touchdown, and his second put an end to the Bucs desperate bid to score a field goal and go to overtime. On that day, there’s no doubt Patrick Peterson lived up to all of the praise he gets, and hopefully he can turn in more excellent days against Carolina and beyond.
