8. Who Says #11 is getting old?

The Cardinals’ Week 8 showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles was a thriller, with each team having some great moments. It was a good day for Larry Fitzgerald, who with one play showed that age is but a number, and that his ability to get yards after the catch remains a strong suit.

With a 7-7 tie between the two teams early in the third quarter, Carson Palmer hit Fitzgerald on a four-yard slant. The Cardinals were facing a 3rd and 10 situation, but what looked like an insufficient gain suddenly became an Arizona score.

Ted Ginn made a key block to give Fitzgerald time to accelerate, and accelerate he did. He beat two Eagles defenders in a foot race to the endzone. This was Fitzgerald’s most exciting play of the season, but this game became far more exciting as it progressed.
