Wide receiver

So we get to wide receiver where are as many as six guys that are probably fighting for one or two spots.  That’s rough.  However the Cardinals are set with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and John Brown at receiver.  That leaves Jaron Brown, Brittan Golden, J.J. Nelson, Ryan Spadola, Jaxon Shipley, and Trevor Harman fighting for the last spots.

The leader of that pack would seemingly be Jaron Brown.  However he was inconsistent last year and no one will ever forget the important touchdown pass he dropped in Seattle.  I’d hate for one play to define the guy though.  The you have Nelson, who could make the team because of special teams.  He is a kick and punt returner so he may get a spot just based off of that.

So does that mean maybe Arians keeps six guys at receiver?  Possible.  He did have six on the roster at one point last season but broke camp with four.  A safe prediction would be five and a bold prediction would be he keeps six on the final roster.  I thought that would be the case last season and it wasn’t, so stay tuned.
