Receivers

I went into detail after the weekend of how much the receivers have contributed to the great plays made in camp so far.  Guys like J.J. Nelson, Brittan Golden, and Larry Fitzgerald making plays all over.  Even Michael Floyd and John Brown got into the action a bit.  On Monday, the one guy who didn’t impress much the first two days, Jaron Brown, did impress.  He was all over the field and made several great grabs including an over the shoulder one on the sidelines and a turn around catch in the corner of the end zone.

Nelson showed great speed in Monday’s practice.  He gets off the line of scrimmage very well.  Now I know what he is so highly thought of in the return game.  I think that ultimately lands him a spot on the final 53-man roster.  Golden looked good on the weekend.  He was just alright on Monday.  He dropped a couple of passes he should have made but then made a really nice one towards the end of practice.  Fitz couldn’t hold onto a couple of balls on Monday but still made a couple of fantastic catches as well.

Then John Brown, who was quiet during the weekend for the most part, made a spectacular catch in practice on Monday.  The kid has great catch up speed too.  Balls that look like they are going to be overthrown he catches up to and appears on the money.
