Chris Johnson with his second 100-yard rushing game of the season
When it was announced that Ellington was returning, we weren’t too sure how that would impact the use of running back Chris Johnson? Well, we got our answer on Sunday. Not much. Johnson just needed 11 carries to eclipse the 100-yard mark against the Lions.
He had carries of 25 and 40-yards in the game on Sunday. He averaged 9.4 yards-per-carry. I’m no mathematician but I hear that’s pretty good. Now that Ellington had a good day, as did rookie back David Johnson, who scored two touchdowns, you may still see a lot of CJ going forward but the 100-yard games could be fewer and further between having to spread the ball around more. That,s the fun part though, keep everyone guessing, including yours truly.
