Cardinals fans should consider themselves lucky.  After Kurt Warner retired, no one thought the Cardinals would ever be able to replicate the success he brought here to Arizona.  Then they traded for Carson Palmer in 2013.

Now to be fair, some considered Palmer to be just a stop-gap quarterback.  I never considered him that but even I didn’t think it would lead to what has now become of the Cardinals.  Once the 2014 season ended though, there was no better example of just how valuable he had become to the team.

He tore his ACL in November 2014 and the Cardinals summarily went 2-4 the rest of the season after he was lost and then were embarrassed in their playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.  Now, he has lead the Cardinals to a 8-2 record to start the 2015 season.

Palmer is now in the MVP discussion and although they haven’t won anything yet it, it sure appears the Cardinals are primed for a Super Bowl run here a couple of months from now.  We thank the Cardinals for not giving up on Palmer.
