When the Cardinals hired Bruce Arians in 2013, the feelings were mixed at the time as to what he could bring to the team. This was even after he had just won NFL Coach of the Year, as an interim coach for the Indianapolis Colts Chuck Pagano.
We knew he had the offensive mind to get the Cardinals offense moving again but he has taken it further then we could have ever imagined. He has taken a team that was 5-11 and rolling downhill fast in 2012 to 10 wins in 2013, 11 in 2014, and likely 10 or more in 2015.
Arians is also a very likable guy. Players love him. Fans love him. His personality is A+. He does a lot for the community with his Arians Foundation. What people probably love most about him though is he is honest. He will tell you what he thinks. He doesn’t take bull from anyone.
The saying in Bruce we trust just didn’t come out of thin air. He is a guy who will tell it as it is. If you are not getting the job done, he tells his players. Players appreciate his approach and when you have a coach you can trust, good things will happen. Bruce Arians is the reason to be most thankful for being a Cardinals fan this Thanksgiving.
