Patrick Peterson

Peterson was good enough to be selected to the Pro Bowl.  He played and started in all 16 games in 2015.  He did look much better this past season than in 2014.

The good: He started off the season well.  He had two interceptions in the first five weeks, one was returned for 40 yards against the Lions.

The bad: He seemed to get picked on more as the season drew to a close.  He had just one pass defensed in the last four weeks, none in the last three games.

The ugly: Do we start asking ourselves if he is overrated?  In the sense that he is the best shutdown corner in the NFL, yes.  In the sense that he is a solid star, no.  However his playoff goofs are going to be hard to forget.  He gave up the Hail Mary touchdown against the Packers in the divisional game and muffed a punt in the NFC Championship.

Despite those playoff mistakes, Peterson did pick a pass off to redeem himself against Carolina.  It was too little too late though.  Peterson should be around here for awhile but his game needs to step up for the Cardinals to take that next step.
