Jerraud Powers, CB

A mixed bag of feelings with Powers.  I thought he’d easily slide into the starting corner spot opposite Patrick Peterson during training camp.  He competed with Justin Bethel for the starting spot and eventually won it.

Power started all 13 games he played in last season.  He had just one interception in 2015 though.  He has three interceptions in 16 games for the Cardinals in 2014.

I don’t think Powers is a full-time starter though.  If he hangs here he should be a bench player maybe making a spot start here and there when needed.  The Cardinals ought to hit the free agent market and/or the draft to improve their cornerback core.  Powers is another tough decision.

Decision: Keep him
