A little look at the NFC East and you begin to see why Washington are a playoff team that might redo, all I think about is the denial that you must have if your Washington to say you might be OK for next season. Washington is anything but that, they are on the verge of losing their possible franchise quarterback (Kirk Cousins), and a running back who has carried the load for you (Alred Morris). To replace one Kirk Cousins in this draft is impossible, the consensus is that you must give Cousins a big contract after only one year of production and hope for similar production. If Washington is unable to resign Kirk, then you look at the free agents and draft prospects, and it’s not as talented as fans think.

An old Denver Broncos contributor, Terrance Knighton, had a very up-and-down year, and he seems to be on his way out. I didn’t like his one year stunt, but that’s OK Washington fans, there are so many talented defensive line prospects this year. I saw A’Shawn Robinson as a great fit here with what the talent pool is in Washington. The Redskins looked very bad in the playoffs (truthfully in the season too), but I saw the trouble with it. The front seven had no push, which is one of the things that A’Shawn Robinson is very good at. Robinson is a big bodied nose tackle, has trunks for legs, and seems very agile. Is he a three-down lineman though? Something needed to be answered.

The Redskins haven’t had the best defense, but if you can tell from the Denver Broncos, it’s all about the defense to at least be competitive. The Redskins have some trouble areas that could be addressed in free agency and the draft, and really there isn’t a strong-suit for the Redskins. I think that’s the problem, they don’t have anything that scares you. They won’t beat you with a tough run game, throw it past you for 400 yards, or stifle your offense with their defense.
