Philadelphia Eagles

After the 49ers, the next buyers at quarterback are the Eagles at pick number 13. The Eagles hired former Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson as the successor to Chip Kelly. As of now it seems unlikely that the team will resign 2015 starter Sam Bradford. They have been linked to taking Carson Wentz with their first round picks.

A potential move that makes sense for the Eagles that could potentially see them look at another position with their first round pick is trading for current Chiefs backup quarterback, Chase Daniel. Daniel has been labeled as one of the league’s best backup quarterbacks and has spent 3 years in Kansas City learning Doug Pederson’s offense.

On paper this seems like a perfect fit for both sides. Daniel is only 29 years and good be a serviceable pass for at least 5-6 years. If the Eagles do indeed end up trading for Daniel it unlikely that they would use their first rounder on a quarterback. The Eagles have also been linked to signing former Eagles starter and current Rams back up, Nick Foles.
