There will be outrage, two responses come to mind… “Why did Dak Prescott fall so much?” or “We don’t need that troublemaker on the Cardinals.” Listen, my last article had the cap explanation and what a lot of players would command, a Cardinals fan pointed out to me, Carson Palmer could retire after the season. Consider this also, I did three or four mock drafts, everytime finding Dak Prescott still available, so do the Cardinals leave him on the board? I don’t think so. If the Cardinals were going to select a quarterback, why not get the best available?

We all were flabergasted that Dak Prescott rose so fast, then plummeted into the earth so fast. One day, he is proving his will and poise at the Senior Bowl, next he is getting busted for DUI, so can the Cardinals trust him? First time offenders, yes, don’t betray the trust, ask Daryl Washington. Prescott made a mistake, does that mean he will be undrafted? No way random fan, I see Dak as the future of the NFL. So many fans want their quarterbacks to be like Russell Wilson or Tom Brady, no problem with that thought, but some make mistakes. Does anyone remember Ben Roethlisberger doing anything wrong? Nope. What about Mike Vick? Not trying to trounce on everyones feet, saying that Dak probably made a huge mistake driving impaired, but I also don’t see a patern of misconduct for Prescott. This is probably my most controversal pick.

The wonderful and terrible thing about Prescott is poise in the pocket, why? Because Prescott took more hits then anyone during the season, but he showed physical and mental toughness to stick it out. He needs grooming, to be a top-tier quarterback you need a good pass blocking game. I love the directional game Prescott plays, always being able to keep his eyes down field. I noticed his arm strength was NFL level when he played at the Senior Bowl. He isn’t going to get 500 yards rushing in a season, but he can move the sticks with his feet.

Enjoy the trades my friends, don’t be comfortable with the draft selections the Cardinals have, in the Arizona Cardinals mock draft, you will see something that should be similar to the real thing. It’s hard to get into the mind that is making the Cardinals innovative, even with Steve Keim being a tough cookie to crack, I like to imagine what he is thinking draft wise. I hope you enjoyed the mock draft, if you have any questions about the mock draft, of course leave a comment in the box, if you’re polite, I will be happy to answer the question or concern. You will be seeing more articles when the draft approaches, don’t be wary, the Cardinals draft is heating up.
