5th round:

Marqui Christian, SS, Midwestern State

Why he fits in Arizona: There isn’t much known about Christian.  We know general manager Steve Keim has an eye from small school players.  If Keim is taking Christian, that means he’s done his homework. Remember how we knew almost nothing of receiver John Brown two years ago?

Why he might not fit in Arizona: He lacks range but does have speed.  It could take him time to acclimate to the level of competition in the NFL, so he may not see a lot of the field in his rookie season.

Grade: C+. He has the size at 6’1 to stand up with many receivers.  He will be a good special teams player and will provide some depth early.  This grade could change though.  AGain, we still have a lot to learn about Christian.
