Aaron Donald, Los Angeles Rams

The Cardinals are lucky enough to see Donald twice a season.  I’m not sure lucky is the right word however it doesn’t make it any less true.

Donald had himself a season in 2015.  He had 69 tackles with 11 sacks and one fumble recovery. For the most part the Cardinals held Donald in check last season.

Donald managed one sack over the course of the two games.  The one sack came in the Cardinals 27-3 victory over the Rams in St. Louis in December.  He had seven tackles over those two games.

Donald had nine sacks in 2014 and one of those was against the Cardinals, also in St. Louis. This season the Cardinals will see Donald on October 2nd in Glendale and January 1st, 2017 in Los Angeles.

With nine sacks in 2014 and 11 last season, could he be ready to improve on that number in 2016? Quite possibly, which means the Cardinals will still have to do their homework in preparation despite the success the Cardinals have had stopping him for the most part over the last two seasons.
