Kawann Short, Carolina Panthers

I’m not sure the Cardinals want to see any Panthers honestly.  However Short is a guy who proved he could get to the quarterback in 2015.  The defensive tackle had 11 sacks in the 2015 regular season.

In addition to the 11 regular season sacks, Short also had two postseason sacks.  One of those sacks was against the Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game back in January.  He also forced a fumble in that game.

He started all 16 games for the Panthers in 2015, so no reason to believe he wouldn’t be there trying to get at Carson Palmer this season as well.  Short’s best game last season though came against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 25th.  He had three sacks that day.

Short made a huge leap from just three sacks in 2014 to the 11 in 2015.  He will be hard pressed to improve by that much in 2016 however the 11 is likely not an aberration.  The Cardinals face the Panthers in Carolina on October 30th in a late afternoon contest in Charlotte.
