1. Jared Veldheer

Veldheer has been all that and more over his first two seasons in the desert.  Protecting Palmer’s blind side is what he does best.  Palmer was only sacked 25 times last season, down from 41 two seasons before, the last season played before Veldheer’s arrival.

Veldheer has a strong hold on the number one left tackle spot.  The only thing that will keep him from playing and starting is injury.

2. Rob Crisp

Crisp was a nice surprise last season as well.  He played his way onto the practice squad last season before going on injured reserve shortly after the 2015 regular season began.  At 6-7 he provides the height necessary to deal with the taller defensive opponents.

Crisp has the experience of being with the team and knows the offense well.  That should provide to be valuable as he makes another run at the 53-man roster come September.
