4. Robert Nkemdiche

The fact that the Cardinals added a defensive tackle in the draft is not as amazing as who it was that was available when ti came time for the 29th pick of the first round.

Nkemdiche fell likely because of the off the field baggage he brought with him.  There is no denying the talent he brings though.

Nkemdiche should immediately pay dividends and should push veterans like Frostee Rucker for a roster spot when the 53-man roster comes out in September.  The Cardinals certainly should feel lucky he was still available.  Originally touted as a possible top-five pick during the 2015 college football season, teams are going to be sorry they passed up on him.

Although he was not on many Cardinals fans radars as a possibility in the draft the Cardinals knew what they were doing.  He is surrounded by veteran talent who will help him both on and off the field.  He doesn’t have to come in and be the guy right away.
