October a make or break month for the Arizona Cardinals
Following the game against the Jets, the Cardinals will be playing their third nationally televised game in as many weeks when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football. The Seahawks are looking to reclaim their NFC West crown from the Cardinals, and will bring it to the Cardinals. Seattle has won the last three games played at University of Phoenix Stadium.
The fifth and final game the Cardinals will play in October will be in Charlotte, North Carolina against the Carolina Panthers in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship. There is not much that needs to be said about this game, Panthers are looking for a repeat of last season’s result and the Cardinals the opposite. Given the revenge factor, there runs a slight risk of Arizona trying to do too much to get the win.
With five games in four weeks, and three against division opponents, this is by far the toughest stretch of games the Cardinals will have this season. Arizona should be looking to go 5-0 or 4-1 during this month to be in charge of their own destiny. Two losses or more and the division race could be a little too close for comfort.
