Marqui Christian
A fifth-round draft pick of the Cardinals in the 2016 NFL Draft, Christian might turn out to be a really good selection. The safety out of small-school Midwestern State lead the team in tackles on Friday night.
Christian not only had five tackles but he also got to the Raiders quarterback once. He registered the only quarterback hit the Cardinals tallied all evening.
For a team that went out to improve their pass rush, one quarterback hit in the first preseason game is not much to worry about. However given their issues in the past, the Cardinals can ill-afford those types of statistics once the regular season begins.
Christian is going to be able to provide valuable depth for the Cardinals, depth they so desperately need with the injuries that have take place in the secondary. He went a long way towards securing a spot on the final 53-man roster against the Raiders.
