Kameron Canaday

The Cardinals rookie long snapper had himself a day on Sunday.  A bad day.  Make that two bad Sunday’s out of three so far.

Canaday snapped a ball over the head of Drew Butler on a field goal attempt on Sunday.  It resulted in a Bills touchdown, a 10-point swing.  It was his second really bad play of the young season.

During the loss to the New England Patriots on opening night, Canaday snapped the ball low and caused mis-timing of a game-winning field goal attempt by kicker Chandler Catanzaro.  Catanzaro still had a shot to win the game and didn’t do his part but Canaday started the downward spiral of a play.

You wonder what Canaday did so well in the last week of preseason that won him the job in the first place?  Another rookie Danny Dillon was number one on the depth chart until the final cuts. I’d look to the Cardinals bringing in a veteran to replace Canaday.
