2. David Johnson touchdown run vs. New York Jets
The Cardinals had not scored in the first quarter of any game prior to the New York Jets game on Monday Night Football on October 17th. Running back David Johnson took care of that in a hurry.
On the first play of their second drive of the game, Johnson ran past a few good blocks and ran down the left sideline for 58-yards and the score. It may have been week six, but the Cardinals were finally able to silence people about not scoring in the first quarter.
Of course Johnson made a lot of difficult runs look easy this season. this one included, but none of them were longer than this touchdown run. Johnson ended up with 111-yards rushing and three touchdowns in this game.
The run was the only first quarter score for the Cardinals however they scored a touchdown in each quarter in this 28-3 victory. Johnson ended up with 1,239-yards rushing on the season along with 16 touchdowns.
