Ed Stinson

Stinson only played in four games for the Cardinals last season.  He spent most Sunday’s on the inactive roster.

Over the previous two seasons in 2014 and 2015 he showed signs of really making a name for himself.  He just hadn’t been consistent enough and then he couldn’t get himself on the active roster enough last season.

The three-year pro from Alabama still has a great shot of being in the mix when the final 53-man roster is being decided upon.  However the Cardinals are heavy on defensive tackles as it stands right now.

Stinson may become another victim of the numbers game.  As with some of the others, a lot will depend on the Cardinals roster actions over the next couple of months whether Stinson has a legitimate shot at remaining an Arizona Cardinal in 2017.

It is a nice problem to have anywhere from seven to nine defensive tackles at your disposal but at some point someone who continually finds himself inactive even when healthy, is not long for the roster here.
