Robert Nkemdiche

Likely the most disappointing player on the roster last season and that is saying a lot.  The first round draft pick out of Mississippi came in not quite ready for the NFL.

He struggled on the field in camp and also suffered an injury that hampered him.  The Cardinals pointed to his lack of preparedness and the way he went about his business on the field as reasons for him not playing much last season.

He did make it on to the active roster for five games last season but it almost seemed as if that took place more out of necessity than improvement.  He also had a hard time being professional off the field.  He came dressed in a t-shirt for a road trip.  Clearly he missed a memo somewhere.

If his absence on the field wasn’t memo enough to him then maybe his future will be short in Arizona.  He isn’t going to be given anything going into camp this year.

While it is difficult to see the Cardinals parting ways with him this season don’t think for a minute they will allow him to slide onto the roster without showing improvement and readiness to be a professional on and off the field.
