Lawrence Timmons

2016 team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Let’s start by saying Timmons leaving Pittsburgh for Arizona seems highly unlikely but it is worth making some calls on.  They say talk is cheap but in this case it really it. It doesn’t cost the Cardinals a thing to look.

Window shopping and dreaming is free.  It’s when you actually go into the store and use that credit card when you start to wonder what has happened.

The Cardinals will be looking to upgrade their inside linebacking this offseason.  The Cardinals could bring back Kevin Minter but it is not known how likely that may be?

Timmons seems to want to stay in Pittsburgh but he does seem destined to hit the free agent market next Thursday.  If the Steelers can’t keep him and he does move on, the Cardinals are not likely to afford him.

As long as we are asking for targeted free agents though, there are few better defensive players available this year.  This one happens to look like a good fit in Arizona if he wasn’t going to be so expensive.
