3. The Returns of Palmer and Fitz

With the current backup quarterbacks being Drew Stanton and Zac Dysert, the Cardinals would not be in the playoff race in any way without Carson Palmer. Even if the team was to draft a rookie QB, it is probable that Arians would sit the young signal caller for one season at least to learn. As critical as fans are of Carson Palmer, none of it would be possible without his leadership and talents.

The same could be said for Larry Fitzgerald. With the release of Michael Floyd, the only big-bodied receivers that the Cardinals have are Jaron Brown (who is returning from a torn ACL) and Aaron Dobson (a player who may not even make the team). Fitzgerald is an ageless wonder and Palmer’s favorite target as he lead the NFL in catches in his 13th season in the big leagues. Fitz’s production has yet to dip. If anything, the receiver is only getting better.

It is rare that a team wins the Super Bowl without a premier quarterback or receiver, and this duo could light up the scoreboard en route to the Lombardi Trophy.
