13. San Francisco 49ers

The Cardinals will play the 49ers twice.  Nothing new to report there.  The fact that we have to sit and watch two of these games though is just not a great time right now.

To be fair, the 49ers are trying to improve…I think.  Their quarterback right now if the season started today would be Brian Hoyer.  Yes, Brian Hoyer.

Will it remain that way?  I don’t think so.  Right now though it would be that way.  There have been a lot of rumors about trading for Kirk Cousins.  It doesn’t appear that will happen.

What did happen though is that they hired a new head coach in Kyle Shanahan.  He’s a good offensive mind that could make these games a little more exciting next year.

Everything in the NFL is cyclical though.  Some cycles take longer than others but the 49ers will be good again someday.  However 2017 will not be one of those years.
