Arizona Cardinals: Mock Draft 2.0

I have seen many mock drafts that have Conner going to Arizona, and I know many fans love the idea. Even though David Johnson is etched into the starting role in the desert, the depth behind him is mediocre, and Conner has the skillset to bolster the ground game.
At 6’1″ and over 230 pounds, James Conner runs a 4.65 40-yard dash, a great time for a player his size. He is a tank that is hard to take to the ground, and he has a nose for the endzone. In his sophomore and senior seasons at Pitt (battled an MCL tear and lymphoma his junior season), he totaled 42 touchdowns and over 2,800 yards.
The play of Conner, when he comes in the game to relieve Johnson, would not differ too much from how Johnson is used. Although Conner is known for his downhill running style, he also totaled 331 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns during his senior season.
