Jared Odrick, DT/DE

The Jaguars took Calais Campbell from the Cardinals, so why not take Odrick from them? We did a similar “swap” with the Bengals (Minter and Dansby). Jared Odrick only played in 6 games in 2016 due to injury, but if he can return to previous form he can help fill in for former Cardinal Campbell.

Odrick’s numbers are not nearly as good as Campbell’s by any means. Odrick, however, has never played on a defense as talented as the one he could be a part of in the desert. He has the size (6’5″ and 298 lbs) and versatility to play the same role that Campbell did in Bettcher’s top-5 defense, so is it worth the shot?

Signing Odrick would only be worth it if he can come at a minimum deal and Bettcher already has a plan for him. Even if that plan is to be a rotation player and assist Robert Nkemdiche with growing up.

Odrick could also bring dreadlocks back to a defensive line that has not had them since before Dockett’s “new look” years ago.
