October 17, 2016 vs New York Jets

From the Jets standpoint, this really wasn’t a game at all.  However it was really the first time the Cardinals looked dominant all season on both sides of the ball.

Running back David Johnson scored on a 58-yard run just a little over five minutes into the game. It was the first score for the Cardinals in the first quarter all season, spanning six games.

As quickly as that score took place, it appeared the Cardinals would be able to score 50 that night. Scary part is they could have if the offense had been running on all cylinders.

Still, they scored a touchdown in each quarter to beat the Jets 28-3 on Monday Night Football. Of their four touchdowns, Johnson had three of them.

After the game that lead ESPN announcers to help America try to come up with a nickname for Johnson.  To this day, I still don’t think everyone has agreed on one.

They can call Johnson whatever they’d like as long as his 2017 goes the way of his 2016 season. Give Johnson a healthy offensive line, you’ll likely see even more dominating performances than this one.  For this game, Johnson ended with 22 carries for 111-yards.
