September

The Cardinals season opener is on the road for the first time since 2013 when the they opened the season against the Los Angeles Rams.  The second game is also on the road.  They are just one of three teams to start weeks one and two on the road.

September 10 – @ Detroit Lions

The Cardinals return to the site of the whipping they gave the Lions in their last meeting in 2015. The Lions are coming off a wild-card playoff berth in 2016.  They still have Matthew Stafford at quarterback, so anything can happen.  Cardinals get off to a good start though.

September 17 – @ Indianapolis Colts

The Cardinals will play in Lucas Oil Stadium for the first time since it opened.  The Cardinals haven’t been to Indy since 2005.  Andrew Luck is hoping to save Chuck Pagano’s job one more time.  Bruce Arians returns for the first time since leading the Colts as interim coach in 2012.

September 25 – Dallas Cowboys

The season home-opener.  Playing on Monday Night Football, the Cardinals will be the last team to host a game this season.  The Cardinals will get their first look at Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliot.  It should be a great game.
