Week 5 – Sunday October 8th

@ Philadelphia Eagles

The last time the Cardinals invaded Philadelphia was in 2015 on Sunday Night Football.  It was Cardinals running back David Johnson’s coming out party so to speak.

It was also the game the Cardinals lost safety Tyrann Mathieu to his second torn ACL in three years.  He still hasn’t been the same since but the hope is he will be once the 2017 season begins.

The Cardinals will have to deal with second-year quarterback Carson Wentz this time around. Wentz started off 2016 on fire but quickly turned into the rookie many expected him to play like.

Still, the expectations are high.  This game will likely be nothing like the one we saw in December 2015.  It should remain close, however the Cardinals could come up short for the first time this season.

The Cardinals will need to be nearly flawless on defense in order to pull this one off.  The Eagles, like the Cardinals, should be improved in 2017.
