Arizona Cardinals: 5 guys its 2017 or bust

Andre Ellington
It was mildly surprising that the Cardinals decided to bring back Ellington in 2017. After all, he had very little production in 2016.
When the Cardinals brought in David Johnson in 2015, it seemed it spelled the beginning of the end for Ellington. However Ellington was able to co-exist with Johnson that season.
When Johnson’s role expanded in 2016 and he was getting more touches, some believe Ellington would not be a Cardinal next year. That was until the Cardinals decided to change Ellington’s role.
Being the versatile back Ellington is, now the team has decided to convert him into a full-time receiver. If that’s the case, then who’s spot is he taking away?
Ellington is going to have some tough competition when it comes to getting receptions in 2017. He certainly has proven he can catch the ball.
His size shouldn’t be an issue. It also would seem he would be more durable moving away from the running back position. Ellington could be one of the more intriguing guys to watch as training camp progresses.
