Andre Ellington is looking to have another strong performance against the Raiders

Last week, against the Cowboys, running back Andre Ellington had a solid game. He ran the ball five times for 16 yards, and scored a touchdown. He also caught two passes for an additional 15 yards.

Like Blaine Gabbert, Ellington is trying to earn the right to be the main backup at his position. The Cardinals re-signed him in the offseason, originally to be a receiver. He was eventually moved back to running back, where he’ll battle Chris Johnson for carries.

Ellington is a versatile player, and weapon out of the backfield, but could find his roster position threatened if he can’t beat out either Johnson or Kerwynn Williams. On Saturday, he’ll keep working on locking himself onto the 53-man roster.
