Cole Toner

Toner had a poor preseason.  He failed to live up to the expectations the Cardinals had for him.  He spent the 2016 season on the 53-man roster but was inactive quite a bit.

He was expected as a second-year player to start showing why the Cardinals took a chance on him in the 2016 NFL Draft. His inconsistent play however left the Cardinals with little choice but to cut him.

I would suspect the Cardinals aren’t done with him though.  The team spent time and effort to get him acclimated to the NFL game.  He did have a couple of bright moments but right now he just isn’t ready.

Last week against the Atlanta Falcons his struggles really showed.  Immediately his roster position seemed to be in jeopardy.  If he doesn’t end up being picked up by the Arizona, he easily could find himself on another practice squad or even an active 53-man roster.

Chances he is signed by the Cardinals and placed on practice squad: Good

Chances if signed he plays for Cardinals in 2017: Good
