Andy Lee

The Cardinals spent all off season looking for improvement in their punting game.  It took until four days after the final preseason game to find him.

Lee, just two days after being released by the Carolina Panthers, joined the Cardinals in the worst kept sports secret in town over the Labor Day weekend. Lee will make his Cardinals debut on Sunday.

Lee replaces Matt Wile, who for two days, had beaten Richie Leone in the preseason/training camp punting competition.  Passing up on a Pro-Bowl punter though would have been a major mistake for an organization who kept saying special teams was the number one priority.

Lee will also be the holder on place kicks from the Cardinals other new special teams find in kicker Phil Dawson.  It will help the two are familiar with each other from their days with the San Francisco 49ers.

Cardinals fans should just be thankful Lee is on their team now.  He had some great kicks against the Cardinals as a Niner.
