The Ugly

Could it be anything other than the offensive line?  Early on it looked like they would have a better day than what they showed against the Dallas Cowboys last Monday night.

In the end, they were who we thought they were, just plain ugly.  Once again they gave up six sacks of Palmer.  That doesn’t count the other number of times Palmer was either rushed or hit or both.

With guard Mike Iupati on injured reserve, left tackle D.J. Humphries once again inactive, it was left up to backups.  They were also without guard Alex Boone.

Everyone knows the issues.  What do the Cardinals do about it though?  What can they do about it?

Unfortunately they just have to get better.  Most of the line is here to stay.  There just isn’t much else out there to replace them.

The only improvement would be likely through trade.  However what team is giving up on their offensive linemen right now given how many teams are struggling with their lines?

They do need to do something though, even for the sake of trying.  Don’t pick somebody up for the sake of picking him up but if there is someone remotely interesting out there, at least give him a look.

At best though, the Cardinals are just going to need to get healthy and perform better.  Will it magically be better next week?  No.  At least try to address it though through some means other than just words.
