The Bad

Where does the line between bad and ugly go?  It felt like against the Rams, a lot of things could have been considered either way.

Phil Dawson

Only because he is 10-15 and has had a couple of nice games will he get the slightest benefit of the doubt.  However his missed 32-yard field goal in the first quarter Sunday kind of set the tone for the rest of the day.

Dawson has now missed four field goals between 30-39 yards and 10-15 overall for the season. There may not be many other kickers who will be better out on the street, but maybe it is time to go kick some doors and see what happens?

Offensive line

We welcome the offensive line back to this section of the piece.  After a good week last week against Tampa Bay, they were back to their old selves.

Guard Alex Boone was pushed around.  Even D.J. Humphries had difficulties at times.  They couldn’t create any holes and their poor blocking had Palmer scrambling often.

It is a testament to Palmer that he wasn’t sacked more often.  He was sacked once on the day.  Overall, Cardinals quarterbacks were sacked three times.
