The Ugly

Third down conversions

That pesky third down conversion statistic reared it’s ugly head once again on Sunday.  The Cardinals were just 4-19 on third down conversions against the Redskins.

That is very ugly.  They were forced to go for it three times on fourth down, going 2-3 on Sunday. Not many games will be won with a stat like that, yet there were the Cardinals still with a chance to win at the end.

Injuries

Running back Kerwynn Williams is an injury victim again.  Already fighting a rib injury, now Williams obtained a quad injury.

He apparently didn’t get it as bad as receiver Brittan Golden though.  Golden is said to have fractured his arm.  Get ready for another invite to the Cardinals injured reserve party.

Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche (no surprise), tight end Troy Niklas (no surprise here either) linebacker Karlos Dansby, linebacker Josh Bynes, and cornerback Antoine Bethea all reportedly were injured on Sunday.  The severity of their injuries are unknown.
