Don’t compare Steve Wilks to Bruce Arians

It’s like comparing apples to oranges.  Wilks is his own man with his own style.  Arians was a different coach on the field and person off of it.

You probably aren’t going to get the personality from Wilks in press conferences that you got from Arians.  We should already be learning that.

That said, don’t shut down on Wilks either.  It will be exciting to see what he can bring to the table.

I am more interested in seeing what he can do for this team anyway.  Yes Arians was a straight shooter, although many times we found out later he may have been bluffing at times.

Also, Arians brought fans a winner right away.  The Cardinals went 10-6 his first season in Arizona.  Then went 11-5 in 2014, 13-3 in 2015 before struggles of 7-8-1 and 8-8 over the last two seasons.

If Wilks accomplishes another 8-8 in 2018, he might actually get more praise than criticism anyway given the overall low expectations for this team.  Just give him a chance.
